OVERVIEW Provides administrative assistance for the NSBA, including reception, general office administrative support, and other duties as assigned. Reports to Director of Administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Open and close the NSBA office. Greet guests and make meeting reservations. Answer,screen and forward incoming phone calls to NSBA staff and programs.
Assist with efficient administration of the NSBA office. Coordinate and place office supply orders. Assist with mailings. Stock meeting supplies. Open and distribute incoming mail. Contact person for NSBA recycling and property management issues.
Assist the NSBA with maintenance of its membership management system (data entry)and processing of association dues.
Other duties as assigned. Provide backup for other departments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
Associates degree required
Required experience:
Previous reception experience
MS Office (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
Preferred experience
Membership management systems
Ability to speak Spanish
Position may occasionally require travel and/or overtime, evenings, and weekends (e.g.,Annual Meeting and NSBA events).
Must be willing and able to learn new tasks, acquire new skills, and creatively approach problem solving.
The ideal candidate has a strong customer service orientation, good verbal communication skills, is organized and team oriented.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
