The Iowa Attorney General seeks an attorney to represent the Department of Transportation Division. Attorneys in this division are charged with providing all legal services for the Iowa DOT and acting as the legal advisors to the transportation commission and the director. This includes many areas of law including providing daily guidance to a state agency, contracts, human resources, open records requests, administrative rules, real estate, and licensing. These attorneys practice before administrative law judges, Iowa district courts, the Iowa Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, as well as on occasion in the federal district courts.
