The Specialist, Technology Training, working as a member of the Firm TSS Training, Courseware and Announcements (TCA) team, guides end users through the learning process and helps them to achieve their learning goals. The Specialist, Technology Training demonstrates and utilizes effective needs assessments skills to determine the appropriate level of courseware, training, and training delivery methods for technology projects. Based on the training requirements, the Specialist, Technology Training is able to use multimedia technology and authoring tools to create effective blended learning programs. The Specialist, Technology Training delivers training via WebEx to lawyers and staff Firm-wide. The Specialist, Technology Training will perform all job duties with a commitment to providing superior service to clients, producing quality work products, and maintaining an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement. Above all, the Specialist, Technology Training must fulfill the needs of the Firm in a manner which is consistent with the Firm’s visions and values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver technology training to Firm personnel across offices via WebEx and other distance learning applications the Firm may deploy.
Provide end-user support through Chat With the Trainer.
Assist with development of technology training programs and materials that meet the Firm’s need to enable lawyers and staff to utilize the Firm’s technology to the fullest.
Develop expertise in the use of the Firm’s software as it is used in the legal environment.
Work with practice groups and departments to create task-based training tailored to their workflows and technology requirements
Develop concise and clear instructional materials using the Firm templates, styles, standards, and development tools.
Ensure that all training content is consistent, easy to understand, and well organized.
Proofread and edit own work and work of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and effectiveness of documentation and communications.
Design and develop training content using development tools, such as Camtasia Studio.
Translate the purpose and use of software applications and technical processes into language that non-specialists can understand.
Produce storyboards and scripts for interactive courseware development.
Communicate with technical and training teams to bridge the informational needs of both groups.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Highly-developed and practical knowledge of computer software applications, including word-processing editors, databases, and spreadsheet software.
Ability to continuously adapt and learn new procedures and software programs.

EDUCATIONAL/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
University-level degree preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in a training or support role in a professional services organization or law firm.
Microsoft Office Specialist, CTT +, or other training certification desired.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to prioritize, schedule, and meet deadlines.
