OVERVIEW Provides administrative assistance for the NSBA, including general office administrative support, membership management, general accounting, and other duties as assigned. Reports to Director of Administration.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists the NSBA with maintenance of its membership management system including address changes, registrations and orders, and processing of association dues.
Entry level accounting functions.
Coordinates NSBA mailings. Processes all outgoing mail, including daily mail and bulk
Coordinates special functions, section meetings, etc.
Other duties as assigned. Provides backup for other departments.
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Full-time position, which occasionally may require overtime, evenings and weekends (e.g., Annual Meeting and NSBA events).
Willing and able to learn new tasks, acquire new skills, and creatively approach problem solving.
Some occasional travel required.
The ideal candidate is organized, team oriented, and has a strong customer service orientation and good verbal communication skills.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK The position is non-exempt. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flexible work arrangement may be available after probationary period.
