In the position of Associate Corporate Attorney, your primary role will be to develop, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents. Other responsibilities will include, working collaboratively with various business units and making recommendations to address and/or remedy potential business concerns, developing timeline charts to monitor the regulatory requirements of the company, and monitoring and interpreting federal and state laws and regulations to provide interpretation or advice to the company. We would like the successful candidate to have a minimum of three years of contract experience.

Education: Work requires skills acquired through graduation from an accredited law school (J. D. degree) and obtaining a license to practice law within the State of Iowa (via regular admission or approved house counsel registration).
Experience: Minimum of three years of experience as a practicing attorney in one or more of the following areas: electronic funds transfer (EFT) networks or other financial technologies, contract drafting and negotiation, financial institution or similar regulatory compliance, and/or corporate governance.
Training: Specific legal training and experience in legal practice.
Skills: Ability to research, analyze, and interpret federal and state laws and regulations and case law, as well as network operating rules/regulations.
Ability to effectively communicate complex legal and regulatory issues to non-lawyers, both orally and in writing. Ability to draft precise and accurate written legal documents and other written materials. Good human relations and organizational skills; meticulous and very attentive to details.
Ability to present information to senior management.
