The Legal Recruiting Specialist ensures consistency across offices and delivers high quality recruiting service, uses judgment to determine hiring needs and qualifications, and makes appropriate recommendations in support of the firm's strategic hiring goals.

Location: Rochester, NY; Providence, RI; Manchester, NH; Boston, MA
Responsibilities: - Work with firm-wide lateral recruiting team on department initiatives, as well as recruiting and integration efforts.
- Conduct Hiring Partner search intake call and propose a search strategy;
- Draft job description and source candidates using a variety of methods;
- Process candidates, schedule interviews, collect feedback and manage travel arrangements;
- Create and maintain headhunter relationships to maximize firm/position marketing and negotiate agreement terms as needed;
- Update recruiting database and candidate files on a continuous basis;
- Review resumes and conduct initial telephone interview to determine which candidates are qualified to be recommended to the sponsoring partner.
- Prepare offer letters and work with management to determine appropriate salary;
- Serve as liaison to the Director of Diversity.
- Report and calculate the Rooney Rule outcome for each associate search process. If the Rooney Rule guidelines are not met, provide the Diversity Director with the supporting materials of all interviewees as requested.
- Manage monthly budget reports and maintain cost control measures.
- Meet and greet local lateral candidates and monitor interview schedules.
- Other lateral recruiting team duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years legal recruiting experience required
- Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and competing demands.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows-based software applications including Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Prior experience with electronic applicant tracking systems, such as LawCruit, strongly preferred.
- Client-driven team player with strong client service skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to keep information confidential, and work independently as well as part of a team interacting with all levels of firm personnel.
- Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and the highest regard for confidentiality.
- Self-starter with ability to remain self-directed and self-motivated with minimal supervision strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and within budget.
- Must be extremely responsive to both internal and external clients.
- Demonstrated creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, and good judgment.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply training to practical issues.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
