Baker Botts L.L.P. is seeking a firmwide Law School Outreach Recruiting Coordinator to support our law school outreach and campus interview programs. This position will require travel to the law schools, outreach events, and other offices as needed. The Law School Outreach Recruiting Coordinator will work under the supervision and direction of the Director of Recruiting and Associate Director of Recruiting and in close collaboration with all members of the Recruiting Department. This is a firmwide, full-time, exempt position that can reside in any of our US offices, with a preference for Houston.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and build strategic relationships with targeted law schools.
On a firmwide basis, organize all aspects of the Firm’s law student recruiting programs including 1L and 2L on campus interviews and resume collects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, research and analysis of target schools, assign lawyer interviewers and recruiting staff on-site support and in-office support, manage interview and outreach registration through the Symplicity portal program interviewer materials.
Work with the Director of Recruiting and Associate Director of Recruiting to plan nationwide law school outreach throughout the year; implement, track, and report on all outreach efforts.
Create, update, and distribute recruiting marketing materials; update NALP forms, update Vault profile and other publications/surveys; collaborate with client relations team on content for printed recruiting materials and website; manage the firm’s recruiting social media platforms; oversee selection, ordering and distribution of swag.
Prepare quarterly recruiting newsletter to law students and law schools, including drafting content, selecting design, and preparing updated distribution list.
Communicate with office recruiting teams in connection with law school outreach, law school interviews, and marketing materials.
Collect current market and industry information relevant to entry level hiring.
Maintain data and prepare periodic reporting on law school hiring trends, statistics, and firm outcomes.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruiting or Associate Director of Recruiting.
Minimum 3 years of experience with law firm entry-level recruiting, including summer program, campus interviews, and law school outreach.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with database management strongly preferred.
Experience with law firm recruiting a plus, but not required.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively with lawyers, other professionals and staff within the firm.
Ability to manage multiple project and competing deadlines effectively.
Overtime may be required from time to time.
