Califf & Harper, P.C., established in 1870, seeks to hire an Associate Attorney with a strong academic background and excellent writing skills. We are looking for candidates who are energetic, self-motivated, hardworking, and detail oriented and who desire to dedicate their time to the practice of law.
Open Position: Associate Attorney, Full-Time permanent position; work hours are expected to be at least 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some Saturdays and other times as required by client- and workload-needs.
Required: Third-Year Law Student (with an expected graduation in May 2019 or earlier) or recent graduate from a top tier law school; excellent oral and written communication skills; professional attitude and demeanor; desire to work in or relocate to the Quad Cities; strong dedication to and enthusiasm for the practice of law; and willingness and ability to work in both transactional and litigation areas.
Preferred: Admission to practice law in the States of Illinois and/or Iowa is preferred but not required; 0-4 years of work experience in the legal field is preferred.
