This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S. We are looking for a highly talented technical professional to join our team in Seattle. This position is responsible for providing client service-minded support and direction for all audiovisual technology throughout the firm; maintaining and coordinating audiovisual equipment; providing administrative assistance including recording meetings, copying CDs/DVDs, and producing events. An ideal candidate will need to show experience providing exceptional customer service.
Manage aspects of firm-wide AV meetings from the Seattle office through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of AV/network equipment in coordination with local office tech.
Provide routine technical support, troubleshooting assistance and problem resolution for all audio video technology (including video conferencing systems, recording equipment, webinar technologies, audio equipment and teleconferencing systems) for meetings, conferences and presentations held between DWT offices and/or with outside clients/customers. Occasional travel required to support of off-site events as needed.
Maintain a calm, positive, friendly, resourceful client-service attitude at all times.
Communicate with meeting organizers to ensure a comprehensive understanding of meeting needs and requirements; provide expert advice and recommend alternate options as needed in order to optimize service levels to all customers.
Partner with the Marketing department, Corporate Events Planner and/or Professional Development Department as needed to effectively manage high-profile events in the firm; meet with DWT event planners (and related guests) to ensure that their needs are being met both before an event, as well as on the day of an event; ensure all equipment is setup and tested; monitor events and check in with customers throughout an event’s duration.
Maintain a positive relationship with all attorneys and staff through effective communication.
Work with other IT staff as required providing high-reliability services for AV equipment.
Provide AV training and documentation in each DWT office for regional technicians and end users.
Provide DWT AV services such as preparing/reproducing CDs/DVDs, recording meeting presentations and audio.
Maintain proficiency of all hardware and applications supported. Market capabilities of conference room technologies to attorneys to insure maximum use of their potential.
Maintain, coordinate, monitor, and help set up check-out equipment for use in conference rooms in the Seattle office; maintain audio video equipment inventory in all DWT offices; help ensure equipment is up-to-date and in working condition.
Provide documentation and/or training on the use of conference room technologies. Recommend adjustments or supplemental training needs.
Coordinate timely repair/upgrade of conference room and check-out equipment.
Assist with determining and defining the support impacts of new technology and planned software upgrades as requested.
Provide off-hours/mobile support as necessary and respond to off-hours escalated AV tickets as needed. Work non-business hours to support early morning, evening, or weekend conferences/meetings as necessary, including off-site AV setups.
Assist with other special projects, tasks, and/or support as assigned.
2+ years’ experience in providing direct audio video technology support or related experience required.
Demonstrated exceptional customer service and troubleshooting skills, problem solving, and follow-up skills required.
Experience setting up and/or troubleshooting projection systems, video conference equipment, automated room controls, microphones, etc., required.
Ability to communicate in a pleasant and effective manner with attorneys, staff, and external clients.
A strong attention to detail and quality control required.
Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, composed manner; ability to quickly assess and assimilate a situation, then adjust approach to fit.
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills required; must be a team player.
Experience in a full-service conference hotel or a law firm or professional services organization, supporting a conference center or conference room floor, is preferred.
Ability to support IP telephony, multiple party conference calls, video conferences, webcasts, web-based seminars, meeting broadcasts between multiple offices, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Experience with PDF production/manipulation; CD/DVD production, editing and duplication; file conversion (such as .VOB or .AVI file to an .MP4 file), videotaping; etc.
Ability to utilize basic tools in video editing.
Familiarity with WebEx, GoToMeeting, BeaconLive, or similar type of webinar administration software.
GED/High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
